Love Is a Mixtape

Elegance Quartet performs a wide array of programs on both traditional and electric strings, enhanced with effects pedals, live rhythm, and vocals. Their signature arrangements blend styles and bend genres to create a sound that is uniquely their own.

This show is a tribute to some of our favorite songs of the heart, written in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, and arranged for our String Quartet with love.

JUST ANNOUNCED: Special Guest Performer John Conahan on piano/vocals.

John Conahan is a singer/songwriter, composer, and educator. He performs throughout Philadelphia and New York at venues including the World Cafe, Tin Angel, The Living Room, The Knitting Factory, and the Kimmel Center. His compositions have been premiered by Lorin Maazel, Marin Alsop, Sir James Galway, Denyce Graves, Deborah Voigt, Donald Nally and the Crossing, and many world-class ensembles, enjoying premieres at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kimmel Center, and The Kennedy Center. In addition to live performances, John is a published composer whose art songs and choral music are available through Boosey & Hawkes, Hal Leonard, MusicSpoke, and E. C. Schirmer.
